An athletics golden double feat, a pair of boxers, a quartet in a relatively unfamiliar sport and an ice hockey team made their presence felt to highlight the country’s golden campaign midway into the 29th Southeast Asian Games.

Leoncio Carreon Jr., Curte Robert Guarin, Ronald Lising, and Emmanuel Portacio are from Angeles, Pampanga Philippines bested Malaysia, 16-14, in the championship round.

The lawn bowl team's victory came a day after Anthony Beram (men's 200 meter run) and Aries Toledo (men's decathlon) gave the country two gold medals.

The Philippines remains in sixth place with 15 golds, 18 silvers, and 32 bronzes for a total of 65 medals. Host country Malaysia continues to lead the 11-nation meet with 122 medals.
